Substation is a place where electrical power is monitored and controlled. Most of the substations are located in remote place. Because the equipments in the substations are dangerus. But this subatations has to be monitored periodicely to make sure that power quality is much reliable.
Working of this project:
This project provide a solution to monitor the parameters of the substations and a easy way to control the switch gears in it. This switch gear control is provided with the required interlock, witch is importent while opening or closing the switchgears. All this process is done using our hand held mobile phones via SMS service.

Safety and security:
Talking about safety, this project provide safety to the equipments by the required interlocks provided to it.
Security is provided to the system using 6 digit password that is manditorely provided along with the SMS. This password uses 128 bit encription technology(as provided in netbanking accounts) witch increase the security of the system.

Technical details:
Atmega 8 microcontroller is used as brain of the system to control switchgears and monitoring meters.
Merckley key encription technology is used for 128 bit encription.
Electromagnetic relay is used as switchgears (for prototype model).
CT ratio of 5:1 amps is used (for prototype model).
PT ratio of 300:5 volts is used (for prototype model).
